Our Beliefs
We believe that the church is "the pillar and ground of the truth (1 Tim. 3:15), and the word of God is truth (John 17:17). We believe that it is the responsibility of the church to teach and practice every truth in the word of God.
We base our teaching upon Biblical authority not man made or denominational authority, and when we say the Church of Christ teaches a certain doctrine, it is understood that the church by way of Biblical authority is performing its divine mission as "the pillar and ground of the truth."
Finally, we believe that the Church of Christ was founded by a scriptural builder (Christ); it has a scriptural foundation; it was founded at a scriptural place and time (Jerusalem); its name is scriptural; it is a scriptural organization; it has the bible as its only church manual which is the inspired word of God; it is undenominational; it teaches that the kingdom has been established and Christ is now reigning; it teaches the plan of salvation; it teaches that man is saved by the blood of Christ; it administers scriptural baptism, and it has scriptural music in the worship.
